Business Insurance quote, payment & purchase procedure explained

There are two ways of getting a quotation from The Business Octopus. The second option is to call us or request a call-back. This will ensure you can speak to a consultant and let us do the work for you to find bespoke options for your business. We are available between 9:00am and 5:30pm to help you. If you would like to speak to us outside of these hours please fill in the ‘request a call-back’ form and we will call you when we are in the office.

5-10 minute call

The initial discussion over the phone with one of our Insurance Consultants takes between 5 and 10 minutes. In this time the Consultant will establish facts about your business and insurance requirements. They will then search our panel of insurers immediately using our bespoke search tools and provide you with the most suitable options straight away.

On the rare occasion when we cannot give you options immediately because more complex insurance is required, the Consultant will establish the facts about your business and then liaise with our panel of insurers to find the most suitable policies to suit your needs. This takes between 24-48 hours. The consultant will then call you to go through the options available including terms and conditions.

Setting up your insurance

Once you are happy with the insurance we have found for you we will go through the following steps to ensure everything is set up;

  • Overview of the insurance you are buying; what it entails and what you are protected for
  • Any questions from you – explained by the Insurance Consultant
  • Payment options explained
  • Payment arranged
  • Insurance Documents created and sent to you on the same day via email including;
  • Welcome letter with policy details sent via the post
  • You then get a dedicated Customer Service Advisor who will be available to answer any questions or deal with any changes for the duration of your insurance. Flexible mid-term adjustments are available by contacting your Customer Service Advisor.
