Retention Specialist

About the role

As a Customer Retention Advisor, you’ll be working within an established team, in a telephone based role, acting as the first point of contact for our existing customers wishing to discuss their potential cancellation of services within insurance.

Within this role, opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell should not be missed and high levels of customer service, offering the customer complete peace of mind on their policy is essential.

Outline of Responsibilities

  • Proactively renewing existing policies in line with renewal dates
  • Working within a target driven environment to ensure the highest retention rate
  • Outbound and inbound calls in relation to cancelling customers
  • Ensuring that target call figures are met and working within dropped call requirements
  • Providing additional support and day to day account management to allocated customers
  • Liaising with other departments to resolve customer queries to assist with retention of business
  • Dealing with customer queries in line within industry and department timescales and guidelines
  • Delivering excellent customer service

Skills and Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a retention environment in the insurance industry. Excellent communication skills, time management skills and basic Word and Excel skills will be required. Internal Sales Specialist

Purpose of the role

Opportunities created through internal team working quality data to provide leads in to the sales team. Once the qualified lead is warm transferred to the sales team it is within our control to offer a quotation and see the lead through to closed sale maximising of the income for the business.

Main responsibilities

  • Conversion of internal leads and inbound calls to maximise income to the business
  • Accurate and timely processing of all sales orders
  • Efficient management of pipeline to ensure all call-backs are worked efficiently through to close
  • Work within productivity KPIs
  • Adhere to all compliance regulations

Impact

Tax Sales Consultant

The Business Octopus works on behalf of a CA Tax Solutions providing new and successful business for them.CA Tax carries out retrospective, current year, and new build capital allowance claims, both for individuals and companies. Most retrospective capital allowance claims that we deal with lead to a significant tax refund for the client.

The whole exercise is carried out in house. Being approved by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), we have dealt with the vast majority of tax offices throughout the UK. We possess an enviable reputation for agreeing substantial capital allowance claims with them. All of our dealings with clients are on a strictly private and confidential basis. Our fee is only applicable when we successfully complete the claim having identified a tax benefit for the client.

The team is sales driven and targeted individually and also as a team. There are two separate roles within the team; ‘openers’ and ‘closers’.

Opening Duties

  • To learn and understand the legislation and company background (full training provided)
  • Objection Handling
  • Cold calling Data provided to get hold of commercial property owners in the UK
  • To generate two quality potential leads a day for the closer
  • Managing your own call backs and time efficiently
  • Maintaining expected call time and minimum number of dials a day set out by the line manager
  • Working towards individual and team targets to ensure they are met on a weekly/monthly basis

Closing Duties

  • Continual development of product knowledge through training, experience and regular refresh training sessions
  • Working closely with Openers and their weekly pipeline
  • Liaising with potential clients (Answering questions, objection handling)
  • Managing your own call backs and time efficiently
  • Maintaining expected call time and minimum number of dials a day set out by the line manager
  • Cold calling in-between client telephone appointments (opening your own business)
  • Closing warm leads provided by the openers
  • Providing new clients to CA Tax on a weekly basis (targeted by line manager)
  • Working towards individual & team targets to ensure they are met on a weekly/monthly basis

Cleanse Consultant

With the continued success and growth of The Business Octopus Cleanse team we are now looking to expand.

About the role

Making outbound calls to generate opportunities ultimately for our internal sales team to quote when a customer is due for renewal on their business insurance, you will be expected to fully cleanse each record.

This is a telesales role which is 100% outbound, working on an automatic dialler.

Outline of Responsibilities

  • To gather 36 renewal dates obtained from customers each day
  • To generate 1 lead per day (customer’s insurance is due within 30 days)
  • Productivity targets include dials and talk time
  • Managing your own pipeline – scheduling call backs to build a continuous pipeline
  • Qualifying your cleansed records – you must ensure that you have asked all qualifying/fact finding questions
  • Quality – you must ensure that you aim to provide the best level of a quality service to the customer
  • You must have the ability to objection handle, probe, fact find, sell a relevant service to the customer

Skills and Experience Required

This position requires a self motivated individual that is versatile, tenacious and works well as part of a team.

Anyone with previous customer service, sales, or outbound experience that has a competitive streak will be successful within the role and will have the ability to excel within the company.

Lead Generation Consultant

As a Business Insurance Broker we have a team of lead generators that are calling warm data provided on a daily basis, your objective is to opt the customer in to a free quote from ourselves.

About the role

You will be expected to fully qualify each lead in a professional and compliant manner by asking a relevant set of questions and understanding the customers’ business insurance requirements.

Outline of Responsibilities

  • Generating 16 leads per day
  • Productivity targets of making between 300+ calls per day and your talk time needs to be at a minimum of 3:40 minutes per day
  • Managing your own pipeline – scheduling call backs to build a continuous pipeline
  • Qualifying your leads – you must ensure that you have asked all qualifying questions in relevance to type of insurance policy needed
  • Quality – you must ensure that you aim to provide the best level of a quality service to the customer
  • Answering inbound customer enquiries and assisting with any queries
  • Working together as a team with the lead generation team and sales team to drive the business forward

Skills and Experience Required

This position requires a self motivated individual that is versatile, tenacious and works well as part of a team.

Anyone with previous Sales or Lead Generation skills that has a competitive streak will be successful within the role and will have the ability to excel within the company.
